Woodworking opportunities in the woodworking industry and what is there for you?

By Pin Henwot

Many people think that woodworking is too difficult and that as a newbie it is hyper difficult to get established in this woodworking industry. But what many don’t even realize is that you only need to market yourself well and at the same time create a back-end for yourself. As a woodworking beginner, being armed to the teeth with ready-made cool woodworking plans and designs are critical.

Let me tell you a story of how a relative of mine stepped in to the woodworking industry and set the foothold from being a newbie and now is recognized as an expert in his niche and in his state!

Well he started by browsing the web for woodworking opportunities just as we surf the web to look for things we don’t know of and what happened is that his mind started boggling with many ideas. But he got so overwhelmed with so many woodworking ideas that he sat down and wrote all the ideas down and he started to sift through them one by one, and the only thing that he realized is that there are so many business gaps in the woodworking industry that many entrepreneurs are not taking seriously.

What was realized is that he didn’t know how to make woodworking designs but he already knew what the reach was in the woodworking market and how many people would be willing to buy woodworking products. The secret niche in the woodworking industry was the green chicken coop construction business!

Now comes the fun part of the successful business equation! He googled “green chicken coops construction” online and found out an ebook and a lifetime membership professional site about woodworking. The price was ridiculously low, so he bought it and tried to learn how to make chicken coops, as soon as he knew that as a newbie he could learn and apply, the business tone was set, he sold his first two chicken coops and then went to found his very own green chicken coop construction business in his home town, he hired 2 more newbies and trained them for woodworking basics via what was taught in the ebook and woodworking professional site and there it goes; a full fledged niche business was set up and bringing in money!

You can be sure; his entire business model won’t be exposed here. So it’s just a matter of identifying what is the business opportunity in the woodworking industry and then making a business out of that! Shift your mindset to identifying those kinds of opportunities and then set up an action plan to set your own business to help you earn money each and every month.

I am looking forward to creating some wonderful woodworking projects with my Ringmaster when I retire. Thanks for the great Intel.

It's not just the woodworking world of opportunities - there are many small niches that people exploit - I just never seem to find one to fit me!

Very interesting intel. Woodworking is a talent and a skill. If one has it, it makes sense to find a business that allows you to make money from your skill.

Yeah... Good advise. In other words, analyze your niche carefully.

Thank you for sharing this interesting intel, Pin. I have spent many hours as a self-taught woodworker and enjoy the hobby.
Best wishes.

I love wood and as a high school girl was outraged that the boys were allowed to take the woodworking classes but girls couldn't. But I learned to whittle wood with a pocket knife and have made some nice things that way. I also assembled most of the furniture in my home. That was fun and save a whole bunch of money.

I love your inspiring story... thank you! Hubby is a general contractor, son makes cabinets, bro is a finish carpenter... we love woodworking! :) All the best to you!
